We are seeking a passionate and energetic Quality manager / controller for our Letsitele or Groblersdal Branch

Job Description

  • Define, document, implement, maintain, and improve laboratory and manufacturing activities to conform to the latest version of the accreditation body’s (SANAS) standards.
  • Identify technical errors in internal quality management systems, results, reports and provide improvements and changes where necessary/required
  • Give presentations and training to staff as part of the implementation and maintenance of accreditation system.
  • Identify and provide solutions to laboratory and manufacturing problems and challenges.
  • Embark on internal method development by writing proposals and reports, planning, executing, and managing outcomes thereof.
  • Work effectively across functional, organizational, and cultural boundaries with skills in organizing, planning, and prioritizing of work
  • Ad hoc requirements relating to laboratory services and manufacturing of products.
  • Provide guidance to the team for planning and execution of major projects
  • Partake in forums, symposiums, study groups and other related industry activities

Immediate objectives

  • Re-instate ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for water microbiological test method at Letsitele branch.
  • Obtain ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for swab microbiological test method at Letsitele branch.
  • Obtain ISO 9001:2015 accreditation for the Groblersdal branch .

 Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Diploma / Bachelors Level or Similar Qualification (Microbiology/Environmental Sciences/Biochemistry/Chemistry) with applicable quality assurance training, e.g., ISO/IEC 17025:2017

Requirements

  • Passion for agriculture with a strong knowledge of microbiology and/or chemistry.
  • >3 Years in quality assurance role.
  • Position requires detail-oriented person with strong communication & leadership skills
  • Drivers license with own transport, must be willing and able to travel between the company branches on a regular basis
  • Work extended hours if and when required
  • Demonstrate independence, ability and willingness to solve problems
  • Able to function under pressure and in a changing environment
  • Good time management, planning ability and effective meeting of deadlines is essential
  • Strong capability with statistical data analysis and interpretation tools.
  • Extremely disciplined. Must be self-managed and self-sufficient.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective industry networks

Beneficial

  • Previous experience with accrediting a new method according to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards or obtaining ISO 9001:2015 accreditation for a chemical manufacturing plant.
